I Love Dalian
Truly Heartfelt Melody
Dalian
in the past, primarily for its enviably abundant natural resources
and advantageous location, was widely accepted as a perfect site in
terms of its strategic significance. Dalian today on the other hand,
apart from its glorious civilization, takes the lead among the leading
metropolises in China mainland in terms of its temperate climate,
advantageous geographic location, advanced concept, glamorous environment,
rich natural reserves, impressionable hospitality, enterprising females
and colorful cultures. Having been to Dalian for 5 times, President
Dam falls in love with the city after all. He speaks out his innermost
passion for the city by having made up in Huangmei Opera tune a verse
named "I Love Ten of Dalian". It runs the entire gamut from
the city's geographic features, customs, products, infrastructure
all through to its people.
Dalian
lies in the southernmost tip of Liaodong Peninsula in China. Owing
a great deal to the inherent spectacular landforms and benign climate,
it enjoys most of its wide-spreading fame as a tourism city and summer
resort. Every year, thousands of tourists both home and abroad flock
into the coastal city either for its famous scenery such as Golden
Peddle Beach, Bangchui Island, Fujia Village Park, Xianyu Bay, swallow nest hill, Snake Island and Ice Valley or for the annually-held economic
and cultural events such as the International Fashion Festival, the
Commodity Import & Export Trade Fair, the Acacia Festival and
the International Marathon Race.
Dalian
makes itself a convenient traffic network, with the land, water and
air transport extended to all directions. The berths of the ice-free
harbors total over 60 in amount, greatly giving rise to the convenient
freight and passenger transport. In terms of the land transport, the
branch railways from Dalian are running into the Northeast China the
North China Railway Nets, with the ferry railway bound for Yantai
under construction now. The expressway network with the Shangyang-Dalian
Highway and Yellow Sea Expressway as arteries link Dalian and the
other areas in Liaodong Peninsula closely together. What's more, Dalian
International Airport at Zhoushuizi has its airlines straight to upwards
of 30 cities in China such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Sanya,
etc. and the international communities such as Singapore, Macao, Vladivostok,
Tokyo, Osaka, Fukuoka, Fukuyama, Sendai, Hiroshima (Japan), Seoul
(Korea), and Pyongyang (North Korea). |
